 Episode 10

“Anyway, it’s nice to meet someone from a similar world.”  

Han Ian, still oblivious, continued speaking in his gentle tone.  

He didn’t seem to even consider the possibility that Min Hyemi’s world might have been a '19+ hardcore' one.  

Min Hyemi rolled her eyes and, in an attempt to change the subject, asked him a question instead.  

“Was the main male lead black-haired?”  

“You’re spot on. He was a grand duke. I was a foreign knight, so it was an impossible love.”  

Han Ian’s expression turned bitter in an instant. He now appeared lost in sorrowful silence.  

Taking the opportunity, Min Hyemi quickly distanced herself from him.  

Damn it, her allergy to romance fantasy male leads was flaring up again...  

“So, does that mean Lee Ruri and I can leave work early today?”  

Min Hyemi pointed to herself and Lee Ruri as she asked, and the civil servant from the HR department nodded.

“What? What was so wrong about that?”  

“Asking about someone’s genre so carelessly is rude.”  

“What’s so bad about romance fantasy?”  

He shrugged his shoulders.  

“It’s just a safe, uneventful world. What’s the harm in talking about it?”  

“........”  

Sure, maybe that’s true for typical romance fantasies. The ones trending with parenting themes or satisfying revenge plots.  

But unfortunately, her world was a 19+ romance fantasy…  

“Well, if the team leader says so. My bad.”  

Kang Jinhyuk threw a casual apology at Min Hyemi.  

“I’m just not good at talking to women. Guys usually understand me fine—so what’s the problem?”  

“You’re not good at talking to women?”  

Min Hyemi tilted her head instinctively, sensing something odd.  

In a male-oriented world… wouldn’t there have been plenty of women depending on him during an apocalypse? Didn’t he have a harem?  

Surely, there would have been 'heroines.' 

As if realizing her confusion, Kang Jinhyuk answered with a slightly awkward expression.  

“There were only men around me. The world I came from was one of those ‘kill the heroine before she even appears’ kinds.”  

“Oh.”  

Kill the heroine before she appears, KTHBSA.

Min Hyemi didn’t think much of it, but it was a common concept in male-oriented novels.  

The idea was that it was better for a heroine not to exist than for her to be a nuisance.  

Ah, so that’s why he lacked social skills and came off so abrasive.  

Understanding this, Min Hyemi nodded.  

“Well, anyway, I’ll be going now…”  

“Alright. You must’ve had a tough day, so take care on your way home.”

“Yeseul, please stop lighting random women’s cigarettes at the smoking area. You’ll get penalized for misconduct at this rate.”  

After leaving some advice for Jung Yeseul, Min Hyemi prepared to head home with a lighter heart.  

“I’m going to sleep when I get home. I’m exhausted—probably from all the tension.”  

“Hehe, I think I’ll practice singing for the first time in a while!”  

Lee Ruri seemed to have fully recovered mentally by now.  

Honestly, Lee Ruri’s singing skills wouldn’t improve no matter how much she practiced, but Min Hyemi decided to keep that thought to herself.

Please visit the HR office tomorrow after clocking in. It’s nothing bad, just that saving your team member in the dungeon might factor into your performance review ^^

Well, that wasn’t anything to worry about.

The unexpected encounter with the Security Team 1 hunters today had left her flustered.  

She always felt wary around outstanding people.
