UAI Chapter 06

 Episode 6

[Shocking!! This afternoon, a trespasser invaded the hospital room of group B-One member Seo Hajin's nephew and was caught... This afternoon, B-One member Seo Hajin's nephew's hospital room was invaded by a trespasser, who was apprehended, according to Ain Entertainment. Several months ago, it was reported that Seo Hajin's sister's family was involved in a tragic accident, and the sole survivor, his nephew, had been in a comatose state for months. Fortunately, the nephew recently regained consciousness, and further tests revealed significant improvement, leading to his transfer to a general ward this morning.

Around lunchtime, while the guardians briefly left the room, the trespasser entered and caused a commotion before being detained and handed over to the police. It was later revealed that the trespasser was a journalist from a certain media outlet, amplifying the shock of the incident.

Ain Entertainment announced through an official press release that they would take strict action regarding the situation.

Below is the full text of Ain Entertainment's press release:

Hello, this is Ain Entertainment.

This afternoon, an incident occurred where an intruder broke into the hospital room of B-One member Seo Hajin's nephew.

Taking advantage of the moment when the guardians stepped out, the intruder entered and threatened Seo Hajin's three-year-old nephew, attempting to cause harm.

Thanks to the hospital staff, the intruder was caught on the spot, and it was shockingly discovered that the trespasser was a journalist from a certain media outlet.

Fortunately, the crime was quickly discovered, preventing significant harm. However, Seo Hajin's nephew suffered a severe shock and fainted immediately after the incident. He is currently in a state that requires stabilization.

The journalist, who committed this crime under the pretext of journalism, has been handed over to the police. We deeply recognize the seriousness of this matter and will do everything in our power to prevent such incidents from occurring again.

We would like to clarify that not only physical crimes directed toward our artists and their families but also false rumors and malicious comments will be dealt with under a zero-tolerance policy. We are currently gathering relevant materials.

The materials collected so far will soon be used to file complaints, and we will also be taking legal action against the journalist and the media outlet responsible for today's crime.

Our company will do its utmost to protect our artists and their families.

Thank you.]

- What did I just read?!

- Wow! That’s absolutely crazy.

- Typical tabloid trash being trash.

- No, even calling them trash is too good. They're just unrecyclable garbage.

- Yeah, complete waste.

- The kid fainted, is he really okay?

- They did that to a 3-year-old? Are they insane? Which media outlet is it?

- That son of a b****! Stop harassing our Oppa already!!

As the agency released an official statement and journalists began sharing the news, the incident attracted significant public attention.

Not only idol fans but also the general public read the articles and expressed outrage.

What would have been criticized if done to an adult was even more appalling when the crime targeted a 3-year-old child who had just regained consciousness after six months in a coma. The public's fury was more than justified.

While people focused their attention on the case and waited for further updates...

Sejin and Hajin had calmed down and were welcoming visitors in the hospital room.

The visitors were none other than the members of B-One.

The members, who had heard about the incident on their way, were furious but composed themselves in the underground parking lot before coming up, ensuring they didn’t show any agitation in front of Sejin.

Of course, as this was a planned visit, they came bearing lots of gifts.

“Wow!”

“It’s Sejin!!”

“Hey! Keep it down. You’ll scare Sejin.”

“Hello, Sejin? We’re uncles who work with Uncle Hajin. Nice to meet you.”

The members, seeing Sejin awake for the first time, couldn’t hide their excitement.

Sejin, seeing their delight, smiled and bowed politely.

“Hello! I’m Lee Sejin.”

Seeing the familiar faces of the members brought immense joy to Sejin.

“Sejin, I’m Hwan. You can call me Uncle Hwan!!”

Hwan was the first to introduce himself, handing over the gift he brought.

“This is a gift from your uncle! I brought a teddy bear so you won’t feel lonely at night. Hugging this will make you feel warm and comfortable!”

The teddy bear, about half the size of Sejin, had shiny brown fur with a neatly tied red ribbon around its neck.

“Wow~~ Thank you so much!!”

‘Oh my gosh! This is my first teddy bear. Actually, it’s probably the first toy I’ve ever owned, period. Is it because I’m in a child’s body? Even something like this feels so wonderful!’

In his previous life, Sejin grew up in an orphanage, where it was hard to have anything of his own.

In an environment where even food required careful consideration, toys were a luxury beyond reach.

Sure, there were toys in the orphanage, but they were worn out and often hoarded by the stronger kids.

Because of that, this teddy bear—the first Sejin ever owned in both his past and current life—was profoundly moving to him.

If he had remained in an adult’s body, he might have felt less affected. But ever since inhabiting a child’s body, his emotions and reactions had gradually adjusted to align with a child’s perspective.

Sejin eagerly grabbed the teddy bear and hugged it tightly, rubbing his face against it in delight.

Seeing this, not just Hwan, who had gifted the bear, but everyone else smiled warmly.

“Hello, Sejin. I’m Uncle Joomin. You really like the teddy bear, don’t you? But, Sejin, I think you might also like the gift I brought,”

Joomin said, pushing a large gift box toward Sejin.

At Joomin's words, Sejin lifted his head with curiosity.

“What is it?”

“Hm? It’s a car you can ride, Sejin. You can zoom around in it. Here, let me open it for you.”

Joomin quickly opened the box and took out a toy car.

It was a yellow, sports-car-style children’s car with an impressive and sleek design.

“Wow~~ Is that a Lamborghini? That’s so cool!!”

Roy exclaimed, even more excited than Sejin as he approached.

Sejin, captivated by the car’s appearance, also grew excited.

“Me! Me! I want to ride it!”

Joomin carefully lifted Sejin and placed him in the car.

“Alright, Sejin. Let Uncle Joomin push you.”

Joomin pushed the car from behind, taking Sejin for a lap around the lounge.

‘In my previous life, I didn’t even own a used car, and now I’m riding a foreign luxury car in this life?!’

Sejin thought, waving his short arms in pure joy.

“Looks like the competition is getting fierce here. Everyone’s bringing their A-game,”

Roy remarked, feeling the heat of competition as Sejin showed how much he loved Hwan’s and Joomin’s gifts.

As Sejin returned to his spot, Roy stepped forward with his gift.

“Sejin! I’m Uncle Roy. Look, I brought you a transforming robot!”

He handed over a robot toy that was currently popular among kids.

Sejin was thrilled with this gift as well.

“Amazing!! Thank you so much!!”

Seeing Sejin’s happiness, Roy sighed in relief.

The last remaining member, Jaewon, scratched his head awkwardly.

Compared to the other gifts, what he had prepared wasn’t nearly as flashy.

“Hi, Sejin. I’m Uncle Jaewon. The other uncles brought such amazing gifts that mine feels a bit humble. But I bought you some clothes and shoes to wear. I’ll leave them with Uncle Hajin, so you can try them on later, alright?”

“Okay!!”

Sejin genuinely appreciated Jaewon’s thoughtful gift as well.

Sejin had been wearing nothing but hospital gowns since waking up, and given Jaewon’s reputation for great fashion sense, it was clear he must have chosen excellent clothes for the child as well.

As everyone continued to chat with Sejin, trying to bond with him in the lively atmosphere, Cheolhwan, who had come along with the B-One members, quietly called Hajin aside.

They entered the guardians' room and closed the door. Cheolhwan then briefed Hajin on the developments of the case.

“The agency’s official statement has been released, and the articles are out. The CEO was furious when he heard about this incident and insisted on filing lawsuits for everything. As per his orders, we’ll proceed with lawsuits for all the malicious comments we’ve been compiling as well. As for the journalist caught earlier, he’s currently being investigated by the police.”

“I saw the article earlier. But is the CEO okay? His blood pressure is usually high, isn’t it?”

“Is the CEO’s blood pressure the issue here? You and Sejin are what matters.”

“Haha. We’re much more stable now. Fortunately, Sejin seems to be doing okay as well.”

“That’s a relief.”

As they talked, Cheolhwan’s phone rang.

“Yes, hello? Oh, yes, this is Manager Kim Cheolhwan. Yes, please, you can speak to me directly.”

While continuing the call, Cheolhwan’s expression gradually hardened.

“Yes, I understand, officer. Please relay the full details to our legal team. Thank you. Goodbye.”

After ending the call, Cheolhwan hesitated before speaking.

“Uh… Hajin.”

“Yes? Was that the detective handling the case?”

“Yes… Ah, seriously.”

Cheolhwan sighed heavily and scratched his head in frustration.

“What is it? What’s wrong?”

“Sigh. Has Sejin shown any signs of unusual behavior after the earlier incident?”

“Sejin? He cried himself to sleep earlier, but after waking up, he’s been playing happily.”

“Honestly, I don’t even know how to say this. Sigh.”

Hajin began to feel a sense of unease watching Cheolhwan’s hesitance.

“Hyung! What is it? Just tell me!”

“That officer investigating the intruder called. Apparently, when that scumbag entered the hospital room, he had a recording device on him. It was confiscated during the investigation, and when they checked the contents… sigh, it’s just horrible.”

“What? What did he say?”

“That bastard was saying nonsense to Sejin. Stuff like how he seemed fine and asking whether his parents were dead.”

Hajin felt his heart drop. His legs gave out, and he stumbled. Cheolhwan quickly caught him and helped him sit on the bed.

Without making a sound, Hajin began sobbing uncontrollably, afraid that Sejin might overhear.

“Hic… Hyung. How could someone say such things? How could anyone say that to my Sejin?”

Hajin beat his chest with his fists as he wept. Seeing this, Cheolhwan held back his own tears and tried to console Hajin.

“Hajin, calm down. No matter what, that bastard will face justice. But right now, we need to check on Sejin. If he heard those words, he might have realized that his parents are gone. Isn’t it strange that he seems so unaffected?”

Hajin snapped out of his daze at Cheolhwan’s words and quickly wiped his face.

Though his tears wouldn’t stop flowing, he knew he couldn’t just sit there and cry.

He was deeply worried about his nephew Sejin’s emotional state.

“Hyung, I’ll calm down here for a bit before coming out, so please check on Sejin for me.”

“Got it. You should wash your face. Go to the bathroom, look in the mirror, freshen up, and then come talk to Sejin.”

“Okay.”

After Cheolhwan left, Hajin sat for a while to regain his composure. Then, he left the room and headed to the bathroom.

On his way to the bathroom, Hajin saw his nephew playing happily with the other members. That sight reassured him, but at the same time, his worries about Sejin’s condition drove him nearly insane.

Hajin washed his face in the bathroom and checked to see if his eyes had stopped showing signs of crying. Once he felt more composed, he returned to the lounge and approached Sejin.

He deliberately struck up a conversation with the members.

“Hyungs! Aren’t you hungry? It’s almost dinnertime, isn’t it?”

“Hmm? Now that you mention it, I am a bit hungry. Should we order something?”

“Hajin, Sejin, is there anything you guys want to eat?”

“I’m fine, so just order whatever you want. As for Sejin, the hospital will provide him with food, so he can eat that.”

“Oh, really? But Sejin can have something other than hospital food, can’t he?”

“I! I want chicken!!”

Sejin exclaimed, raising his hand after overhearing the conversation.

Though the hospital meals were delicious, nothing could compare to chicken, the ultimate soul food of Koreans.

“Hahaha! Our Sejin wants chicken, huh?”

“Aww, so cute~~ If you want chicken, then we’ll order it!”

“But can Sejin eat chicken?”

One of the members asked, glancing at Hajin.

“Yes, as long as it’s not too salty or spicy, it’s fine. What’s important right now is that Sejin eats well and doesn’t have any restrictions.”

“Really? Then we can get fried chicken for Sejin, right? Which brand isn’t too salty?”

The members started pulling out their phones, discussing which chicken brand to order.

Watching them, Hajin made a subtle gesture to Cheolhwan, then picked up Sejin and carried him to the bedroom.

ORPDRL Chapter 01

Episode 1 The day when Letty's mother left her was unusually windy. The sound of the wind shaking the wooden window bars made Letty hunch her small shoulders. “Letty, just wait here for ten nights. Mommy will be back soon.” Letty's mother bent down toward the uneasy child in someone else’s arms. "Where are you going…?" Letty cautiously asked, meeting her mother’s eyes. Her sharp ears drooped as her mother softly patted her small forehead and kissed her. "My good, sweet Letty." She felt sorry for her daughter. Her heart ached for such an obedient child who didn’t even cry or throw a tantrum like other children, begging her not to go. But the mother bit her lips, determined not to show her sorrow. "To live happily with Letty, there’s something Mommy absolutely has to find." She had to complete her task. To protect her precious daughter—so dear that even seeing her in pain hurt like nothing else—she was willing to do anything. “My beautiful daughter...

TDIMEH Chapter 01

  1. Three Years After Divorce & One Week Living on a Deserted Island They say even a rich family can last for three years after going bankrupt? "Who came up with such nonsense?" Se-ah grimaced as she got up from an old, sagging spring bed, filling a chipped glass with water and drinking it in one gulp. The water, tasting as dull as her current mood, felt like it was sliding reluctantly down her throat. Not long after her marriage to Junhyuk, Se-ah's family had gone bankrupt in less than three months, let alone three years. Memories of being chased by shareholders holding what had become worthless stocks haunted her dreams, robbing her of restful sleep. How much longer would she continue to dream such things? Sighing deeply, she shook out her damp pajamas, drenched in cold sweat. It had been three years since she had arrived in the Philippines, using up all her remaining assets to search for Director Kim, who had disappeared. Yet, the nightmares from that time still p...

TDIMEH Prologue

Prologue: An Easy Man "Ms. Jin Se-ah, I'm an easy man. Women are always around me." Do Junhyuk, who called himself an easy man, had his face bathed in the tilted glow of the setting sun, gleaming smoothly. His flawless skin, devoid of a single pore, held its own even under the extravagant lighting of a hotel worth millions. The confident man with a leisurely smile seemed unbothered by his own words. If anything, it was the people glancing at him who looked embarrassed. Sitting across from him, Se-ah observed Junhyuk with an intrigued gaze. The 'easy man' part aside, his well-proportioned forehead, deep-set eyes, sharply defined nose, and crimson lips immediately gave her the impression of someone who could easily break a woman's heart. No wonder he was sitting here making excuses on a blind date. His expression and tone of voice made it obvious that he was here against his will, with no intention of hiding that fact. Fully understanding Junhyuk's attempt t...

ORPDRL Chapter 02

Episode 2 "Hey! Why isn't your mom coming? Did she abandon you?" "No! Mom didn't abandon Letty!" "She abandoned you because you're dirty, lazy, and pathetic. You're just a worthless parasite that wastes food." Letty covered her ears at the mocking voice of Lingling. Despite her denial of her mother's abandonment, Lingling refused to believe her. "It's true. Your mom will never come looking for you again." Letty felt wronged. At the same time, she was scared. 'What if Mom really doesn't come for me?' Although Letty firmly believed in her mother's love, the time they promised had long passed. 'What if something bad happened to Mom?' "No! No, no, no!" Startled by the growing doubts creeping into her small heart, Letty screamed. Lingling, apparently annoyed, shoved her hard. Thud. Letty fell backward and bit her lip. "Mom didn't abandon me." She truly didn't. Mom wouldn...

ORPDRL Chapter 10

Episode 10 Letty’s bold statement cast a suffocating silence over an already quiet household. "…Fine." It was not Letty, who declared passionately to give her the son, nor Brunhardt, who struggled to hold back laughter, that broke the oppressive silence. "Take him, if you want." At Grisys's dry response, Lorik gasped and held his forehead in shock. "What do you mean, 'take him'? Your Grace, have you lost your mind?!" To hand over the heir to a random girl asking for him out of the blue—what kind of absurdity was this? "She asked for him. It’s a bother…" Grisys found his son bothersome. Specifically, he found it tedious to fend off the endless marriage proposals pouring in for Mireil—though most were managed by Lorik, some required Grisys's input as the head of the household. "But that doesn't mean you can just hand the heir over to a stranger!" Lorik raised his voice in frustration at Grisys's muttered reply. ...

ORPDRL Chapter 03

Episode 3 “The content of the book isn’t anything special. It’s about the baby panda daughter-in-law, Tierra, who marries into the Grizzly family, saves the family, saves the world, and just totally dominates everything…” The fairy, who had an unexpectedly husky voice contrary to its delicate appearance that seemed to survive on dew alone, quickly summarized the contents of Panda Daughter-in-law. Its pulled out a cigar as big as itself, lit it, and exhaled smoke with a sigh. “I assume you’re familiar with the Five Great Families of Solaris?” “Yes.” The fairy's question made Letty's eyes sparkle as she nodded enthusiastically. Solaris was home to five prestigious families that led the empire. They were collectively referred to as The Grandees of Solaris and were so renowned that even young Letty was well aware of them. “Among those families, there’s one that never engages in external activities.” “I know! It’s the Grizzly Grand Duke Family.” According to rumors, they were a fe...

ORPDRL Chapter 04

Episode 4 The fairy began throwing books haphazardly and growling menacingly at Lingling. Startled, Letty perked up her ears, but she couldn’t understand most of the foul words spilling from the adorable fairy's mouth. Something about intestines, something about pulling out guts and using them as a jump rope. In summary, the fairy boasted about using Lingling's body to prepare meals, which caused Lingling to shrink her neck into her shoulders. "Wha-what is this... Mom..." "Why are you suddenly calling for your mom? Scared?" The fairy mocked Lingling, who flinched and retreated. Lingling, buried under the pile of books, yelled at Letty. "Hey! Aren’t you going to get rid of this bug right now?" "What? A bug?! You’ve got some nerve, don’t you?" "Eek! What even is this fairy?!" It’s hitting me! Not even my mom hits me! Lingling raised her voice in indignation but quickly lost her nerve and looked away when the fairy scowled fierce...

ORPDRL Chapter 09

Episode 9 Instead of receiving monetary compensation for finding his daughter, Brunhardt decided to escort Letty to her destination. With a grunt, Letty, with her short legs, climbed onto Brunhardt's massive six-horse carriage and opened her mouth wide in amazement. "Grandpa, is this your house?" Brunhardt's carriage was as enormous as the house Letty used to live in with her mother. The sofa was so large that one could roll around on it as if it were a bed, and the child's jaw dropped open in awe. "Wow, Grandpa’s house is amazing..." Brunhardt, who didn’t bother correcting Letty's misconception that he was homeless or living in the carriage, asked her about the destination. "Where do you need to go?" "To Grizzly," His face hardened at the answer. "Hmm? You need to go to the Grizzly Grand Duchy?" The Grizzly Territory, where the bear beastmen lived, was located in the empire's heartland. Surrounded by rugged mounta...

ORPDRL Chapter 18

Episode 18 “Geez, geez! I knew you’d be acting like a complete fool without me around!” Smack! Smack! Brunhardt was dumbfounded, his mouth hanging open as a girl appeared out of nowhere and smacked his back repeatedly. He couldn't respond at all. “...Alicia?” Snow-white hair and violet eyes, unlike the direct lineage of a Grizzly—those unmistakable features belonged to Alicia. For thirty years, Brunhardt had longed for his daughter’s face. He began to wonder if he had dozed off during a meeting and was dreaming. “This can't be. Alicia, how...?” Brunhardt’s disbelief was met with Alicia clicking her tongue, clearly frustrated. She had always been sharp, even when she was alive, often finding her father exasperating. “No one else can see me. The time we have to talk is brief, so focus!” Smack! Alicia clapped her hands right in front of Brunhardt’s face, then climbed onto the round table in the center of the Hall of Frost and grabbed his cheeks. “Alicia...” It seemed like Alicia ...
